Thanksgiving Scripture - Nov 1

Thanksgiving Month Introduction...

Annual Bible Reading Plan:

EZK.16
LUK.24

Day 1: Give Thanks Because God Is the Creator
(Psalm 136:1-9)
(Memorization Scripture: vv. 1-3)
1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy
endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures
forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures
forever:
4 To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures
forever;
5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy
endures forever;
6 To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, For His mercy
endures forever;
7 To Him who made great lights, For His mercy endures forever—
8 The sun to rule by day, For His mercy endures forever;
9 The moon and stars to rule by night, For His mercy endures
forever.

【Reflection】Praise and thank our God! This “God of gods,”
“Lord of lords,” the One who alone does great wonders, has
become our God! All His mighty works of creation and acts of
greatness are connected to us because His mercy toward us endures forever! May the Lord, through the Holy Spirit and the
revelation of His Word, deepen our understanding and experience
of God’s faithfulness and mercy this Thanksgiving month,
increasing our gratitude and love for Him. Yes, “God is love,”
and since there is no place where we can hide from His Spirit or
His presence (Psalm 139:7), let us be mindful of His faithfulness
and lovingkindness toward us, thanking and praising Him at all
times and in all places. In this awareness and experience, may our
gratitude no longer stem from mere effort but flow naturally from
our lives—because He is with us, “For His mercy endures forever!”

Daily Scripture - Oct 31

Annual Bible Reading Plan:

EZK.14-15
LUK.23
PSA.85

Daily Scripture:
Ezekiel 47:9-12
(Memorization Scripture 12)
9 And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes....11 But its swamps and marshes will not be healed; they will be given over to salt. 12 Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.”

【Reflection】Let us all take some time to be still in the presence of the Lord, and with a prayerful heart, read aloud these grateful scriptures. Let's recite them repeatedly until these words, through the Holy Spirit, ignite within us a deep gratitude towards God and let that gratitude overflow within us! These passages proclaim the Lord as the God of gods, the Lord of lords; they mention God's goodness, His marvelous deeds, His wisdom; they ignite our thoughts with His power, His designs, His providence... The central message is for us to give thanks to the Lord, for His steadfast love endures forever! As we enter this month of thanksgiving, let us pray that the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, anoint our eyes, so that we may see (Revelation 3:18) - see that everything and everyone may change, but God remains unchanging, and His steadfast love endures forever. And because of such vision, may we all worship God as God and give Him the gratitude and praise that He deserves.

Daily Scripture:
Isaiah 30:18-21
(Memorization Scripture 18)
18 Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem;
You shall weep no more.
He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry;
When He hears it, He will answer you.
20 And though the Lord gives you
The bread of adversity and the water of [f]affliction,
Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore,
But your eyes shall see your teachers.
21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.
