Introduction...
Day 14 Psalm 34:1-8 Give thanks to God for His goodness and salvation
(Memorization Scripture: vv. 1-3,7- 8)
1 I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
[Sharing] After David departed from Abimelech the king of the Philistines, he wrote this psalm to give thanks to God for answering him when he called upon the Lord in distress, listening to his prayer in trouble. David said “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (v. 1). Also the psalmist invited us to exalt His name and to give thanks to God, for He sent His messengers far off and encamped all around those who fear Him, so that those who looked to Him will not be ashamed.
When you face challenges and go through a spiritual valley, please do not forget that our God is good. Open your eyes of faith and look around, “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.” (v. 7) For we not only see, but taste the Grace of the Lord, and we (shall) live through the greatness of God day by day. David said: “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” (v. 19) Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
