Paising Month Introduction...
Psalm 27:1-6
(Memorization Scripture :4-6)
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,In this I will be confident.
4 One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up ,above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
【Reflection】 In times of hardship and uncertainty we often lose sight and awareness of God’s presence in our lives. Psalm 27 is a beautiful reminder the Lord is our shelter. He provides for us and is our defender against those who seek to hurt us. The trials we face are nothing in light of the greatness of God. We do not need to be filled with fear and worry. We know the Author of life, and he is on our side.
Because of this great security we have in our Heavenly Father, we are blessed to pour out worship to him. We lift our hands and hearts to the Lord today in thanksgiving and praise for what he has done and continues to do for us. He is unrelenting and does not abandon his children. Facing our challenges and enemies, Let’s also boast our victory in Him-“The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?”
Take heart on this day. As children of God, let us give praise to our Father who is worthy of receiving it. We praise him in our homes, with our families, and our places of work. We praise him with our children, our spouses, our friends, and the full body of Christ. Every time when we praise, we shall express our desire like this “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.”
