Thanksgiving Month Introduction...
Psalm 23:1-6
(Memorization Scripture 1-6)
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me. All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
【Reflection】Grateful for the Lord our Shepherd! Because He is our shepherd, we shall not want! Having the Lord is enough, for He is our everything! He leads us on the path of life and guides, nourishes and preserves us through all kinds of trials. When we are hungry and weak, He leads us to green pastures. When we are weary and tired, He leads us to still waters. Though we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we can have firsthand knowledge of God in this valley, allowing our experiences with God to transform from "Him" (verses 1-3) to "Us" (verses 4-6). What a great comfort and blessing! Even in the face of our enemies, God Himself prepares a table for us, giving us His victory! "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31) This is the story of our lives, no matter how difficult the circumstances, how fierce the storms, we follow the Good Shepherd on a path of ever-increasing grace and glory, until the moment we return to our heavenly home! Hallelujah!
